School Supplies Collection

The Mission Committee thanks everyone who contributed to Feeding the 5000 project which helped to stock the Life Pantry.

Our late Summer/Fall project is to provide school supplies to the Loveland area students in need. This could include back packs, pens and pencils, erasers, craft paper, rulers. Most drug stores, grocery stores and places like Wal-Mart and Meijer’s have a large assortment of school supplies. We will be collecting these items through the balance of August and through September.

We will also be sponsoring the Samaritan’s Purse Christmas project in mid October thru mid November. School supplies are also some of the suggested items for this Christmas’ shoe boxes. So while school supplies are on sale now, now would be a good time to stock up on some of those items to go in the Christmas boxes.

Your contributions towards these mission projects continue to support the LPC Vision: To be a Congregation of Believers Serving Like Christ.

Contributions of school supplies will go to the Back-to-School Fair, a cooperative effort of The Loveland Initiative and the Loveland Inter-Faith Effort (L.I.F.E.). The goal of the program is to relieve the financial burden of back-to-school-time on the families while providing access to valuable information. Last year, the event helped 193 students from 123 families in the Loveland school district.
